  8. Model of Corbusier-House (1924) in MaxonCAD2, DXF and HPGL-format

  10. This archive includes my first 2D-CAD-work, done for an exam
  11. in "building construction" at the Fachhochschule Rheinland-Pfalz,
  12. Department Trier.
  13. Everything was created with the great & fast 2D-CAD-Program
  14. MaxonCad2.5 on an Amiga2000 with 68030/FPU-processor-board
  15. and 7MB-Ram (more then enough!). To create a similiar house
  16. on a PC you need lots of more RAM and VirtualMemory...
  17. Amiga rulez!

  19. I had to spend a lot of time in order to create
  20. all the views, repairing computer&plotter-hardware, cleaning pens,
  21. doing corrections, finding out what to do (I'm not a student of
  22. archictecture!), negotiating new deadlines ... So enjoy this work!
  23. It should be a good inspiration to take a closer look at it if you
  24. have to do something similiar with MaxonCad.
  25. The main reason for uploading this file to the aminet was that i
  26. wasn't able to find something similiar. I just found some
  27. Corbussier-models on the Web, but not the right one :-(

  37. LEGAL:
  38. Feel free to spread this archive (only the complete one!) all
  39. over the world as long as you don't use it for commercial
  40. purposes. I explicitly don't allow to use my work for commercial
  41. purposes without my personal permission! Spreading on Shareware-
  42. CD's is allowed as long as they are available for 40,-DM and lower.
  43. Also the spreading of this archive on Floppy-disks is allowed, as
  44. long as they are available for 4,-DM and below to the end user.

  46. Remember: The structure of the house-model is quite unique and it's
  47. easy for me to recognize my quite unique way of using layers :-)

  49. HINTS:
  50. Plot the HPGL-File only on DIN-A1-capable Plotters with the
  51. following Pen-sizes: Pen0: 0.25mm
  52.                      Pen1: 0.35mm
  53.                      Pen2: 0.50mm
  54.                      Pen3: 0.70mm
  55.  
  56. I suggest to use High-Quality-pens and special paper to achieve the
  57. best possible quality. GOOD LUCK!

  59. ANNOTATIONS:
  60. Nobodys perfect. Feel free to report bugs to me! It would be a great
  61. help for future projects and increase my will to upload more nice
  62. stuff.

  64. KNOWN BUGS:
  65. - The width of the staircase is OK to walk on, but i have to add 24cm's
  66.   to fulfill my task ("95cm lichtes Mass") perfectly in future releases
  67. - Due to time and program-limitations (hopefully Maxon continues
  68.   the development on MaxonCad2.5) i had problems in rescaling fonts...

  72.   for their great help in doing corrections, annotations, explaining
  73.   technical details and the moral support while i was shocked by the
  74.   expensive hardware failures of my computer.

  76. - Andreas Schroeder for the 2nd deadline which was necessary because
  77.   my Amiga was nearly dead (2MBRam, HD-Controller and the floppy-disk-
  78.   drive failed and required to replaced by expensive new stuff to
  79.   continue working ...)
